Open Cup Tournament Hosted By Anaheim Bolts in Orange CA
The Anaheim Bolts hosted a qualifying tournament the weekend of November 26th & 27th 2011 at Arena Soccer Park of Orange. The Open Cup Tournament gave local amateur teams an opportunity to compete against each other, where the winning team would have the chance to go head to head with the Anaheim Bolts professional indoor soccer team. The winner of the Open Cup Tournament will face the Bolts on December 3rd 2011 at the Anaheim convention center.
FRE3KICK official street wear sponsor of the Anaheim Bolts was invited to participate in the event. FRE3KICK was represented by local players from Orange County (Paco Prado, Carlos Borja, Christian Ramirez, Anthony Prado, Jeff Ferrario, Jhovany Hernandez, Andres "coco" Jaramillo, Edgar "el Nino" Teran, Norm Mariscal, Matt Howard, Danny Ruiz, and Mickey Lopez).
Teams from Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles County attended this high energy event. All the teams playing were very competitive and showed a high level of skill, however only one team would be victorious. The final match was played against FRE3KICK and Docemas. The game started with FRE3KICK leading 2 to 1 in the first half then leading 3 to 1 on the second half with Docemas tying the game 3 to 3 at the last 2 minutes of the game. It all seemed that this game was about to end in a shootout, but at the last 45 seconds of the game Docemas scored the winning goal to make it an official 4 to 3 final score.
Rob Medina founder of FRE3KICK said "Every minute that went by was a minute of intense soccer. I am proud of the guys that represented FRE3KICK at the game. I would also like to thank everyone who put forth great effort and showed excellent sportsmanship on Saturdays Event. "
